First & foremost, thank you for your patronage!

There have been some recurring comments/questions regarding our current deal running on LivingSocial and Amazon Local, and we’d like to clear the air to avoid any frustration:

  1. The listing has regrettably vague language regarding substitutions. This means that the store has the right to swap out wines, such as if something happens to our supply. (Indeed, one of the whites has already been swapped out because the ship from France carrying our original selection was late to port!)
  2. Under the “fine print” is a link to “other conditions” which, as you might guess, refers to the fact that DC requires us to collect tax — 10 percent for alcohol — on your purchase. If, for example, you bought one deal for $47, we would collect $4.70 when you redeem your voucher at the register.
  3. We package the wine in an easy-to-carry box, and have tried to make sure there are plenty ready to go on your arrival. If you would rather have them in shopping bags, we’d ask your patience & understanding while (i) we re-package the wine for you, and that (ii) DC requires us to collect bag fees, which you can read about here. Of course, you’re welcome to bring your own bag!

That said, we’re happy to try and accommodate everyone within reason. We are beyond thrilled at the positive responses we’ve received. Even though we’re a little shop, we try our hardest to meet the biggest expectations!
